I am a beginner, what type of skateboard do I need?
As a beginner the board is not really that important. As with any new skill, starting with the basics is the best. A basic board can be purchased almost anywhere for a decent price. Don’t worry, as your skills advance you will definitely need a better board. Better boards can be found at your local skate shop or skateboarding online retailer.
What does goofy mean in skateboarding lingo?Goofy is a term that refers to a foot placement on the skateboard. To be goofy foot is to have your feet placed the opposite way as a normal skater. This usually means that you keep your left foot in back as you ride.
How can I learn skateboard tricks?
Skateboard tricks can be dangerous if they are not done correctly. The best way to learn to do tricks is by trial and error; however, it is recommended that you enlist a teacher. Any experienced skateboarder can offer you advice and help in completing basic skateboarding tricks.
